Chaps,

Just finished a new build but kept my old video card as I am not sure what to do next.

Specs:

9800X3D
Asrock Wifi nova
64gb ddr5
evga 3080 ti ftw3 ultra

I been looking at the 4070 ti super as a replacement but I'm not sure the performance jump is worth it, what do you think? I mainly game in 1440p.

Cheers

Every YouTube guide is currently saying do not buy Black Friday deals unless they are ridiculously good since new AMD, Nvidia and Intel GPUs are coming in December to January. Current models will then drop in price until they clear out since the new models should offer better performance at similar price points.

If you can get a GPU for at least 1 tier lower price in the Black Friday sales (i.e. a 4080 for a 4070Ti RRP, 4070 Super for 4060Ti RRP) then go for it. If not, then wait.

Also, make sure you buy at least 12GB VRAM ;)

No 3080Ti but this recent review has a great summary slide of 1440p rasterisation average over 12 games as well as Ray-tracing average over 10 games.
Thanks for this, I will wait for 5 series.
