Not sure on what combo

looking for cpu/mobo/ram for chea but good for swapping cpu in a few years and with ram being so cheap..

So so far I have;

Intel Core 2 Duo E2160 "LGA775 Conroe" 1.80GHz (800FSB) - Retail
OcUK 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-8500C5 1066MHz Dual Channel Kit

But which mobo? Was looking at a Gigabyte DS3 but then againthere are so many, also are there any with 2xIDE?

The DS3 is fine and is a decent overclocker and so too are all the P35 chipsets

Go for a p35 that suits your needs in terms of extra features and pocket.

I've not checked the price but surely 2gb of 6400 might be more economical without sacraficing to much peformance?
