Not sure what ram to get. would love some help.

Hi there,

I've had 2GB of ram in my PC for quite a while and i'm thinking about getting x2 2GB sticks, or x2 1GB sticks, but i dont know what to get, i checked overclockers and saw all this stuff like

CAS 5, 1.8v SODIMM, Unbuffered, Non-ECC, Lifetime Warranty with Corsair.

with no idea if thats the same as mine and what it means etc.

i dont really like mixing and matching my ram either and would rather not spend more than £30 if thats possable,

any help is aprpeciated, sorry about being such a noob

Download CPU-Z and its SPD tab will give you the part number of your current memory.

Hey, thanks for that programe, helped a lot,

says my rams at 333mhz, guessing thats beacuse ive not overclocked it / unbarred its speed or what ever in my bios? :)
 
You have to double what CPU-Z says as you're running Double Data Rate memory, so 333mhz in CPU-Z is really 666mhz.
