I have seen the Corsair Hydro H50 on offer and would like to get it, but I am going to swapping my CPU once Bulldozer comes out next month. Hopefully if the 8 core is good I will get one of those, if not it will be Sandybridge. What I want to know is, will the H50 connect to a AM3+ sockets ok. Basically is their any difference between AM3 and AM3+ for connecting coolers?

Also is their any difference between AM2+ and AM3? As I have a friend that wants to buy my current cooler a Core-Contact Freezer, but he has a AM3 board.

Or would I be better waiting for Bulldozer to come out.

without seeing, i'd say no, the cooler attaches the same way on socket am2 as it does am3,

only difference between am2 &3 is the cpu socket, 3 has 938 pins? AM2 has 939

I found this,so it looks like the AM3+ socket will take AM3 and AM2+ coolers
