as you can see from the image, all i have plugged into my system is 2 graphcards and 1 sound card ZXR creative.
----

if i play music or games i get random sound distortions they come and go really fast.
if i play no music and just run Latency *dpc latency checker* and let it sit on the desktop, i will still get loads of constant latency huge spikes.

no idea what is causing it is it the sound card or is it the board :/

It might be a bad hard drive.
Running all those distracting things in the background can't be helping your CPU latency either way.

For maximum theoretical performance I'd disable it all including Aero, system restore, gadgets, network discovery, recycle bin, diagnostics, every non-critical Windows service, even the desktop wallpaper -- replace it with blank colour. That's what I do anyway.

EDIT:
Windows 8 has very high DPC latency compared to Windows 7 SP1. As things stand, Windows 7 SP1 is much more suitable for streaming applications and has much better real-time capabilities than Windows 8.
Side effects of high DPC latency are crackles, pops, stutter, drop-out problems, and underruns within an audio stream.

If you're using Windows 8 I'd change to Windows 7 SP1 and see if the problem goes away based on this info.

Thanks for the tips ;)
i disabled rainmeter completely and they still showing up.
this is annoying lol though even with running all that stuff, my x58 motherboard was very very low all the time with latency even with all the crap running in the background.
the OS is the same from the x58 mobo nothings changed apart from mobo and cpu.... device manager is clean no issues in there at all.
all drivers are up to date as far as im aware.

i disabled all sound in the device manager apart from zxr and still spikes, hell there is spikes when no sound is playing just idling on the desktop there is spiking.
