Hey guys!

Got an issue with a printer, seeing as there is no other area to put this I thought this would be a good idea.

I was recently given an Brother HL-2035 to look at as it wasn't working.

First of all it had an error message which I quickly fixed by turning the printer off, holding down the GO button then switiching it back on leaving the GO button go and then quickly pressing x2 and x5. This turned the printer to ready.

However I cannot print anything out of the printer and all it's doing is turning on it's fans.

I've changed the ink so it's not that.

Thanks.

Printers are the devils invention I'm afraid.

If I can't fix an issue with one in under 5 minutes, I buy a new one

I got a 360V shock off a HP 4250 printer trying to fix it once; blew me off my seat. I did fix it in the end though which saved £300.

I have looked but I can't seem to find anything.
Took about 20 seconds googling:

Print a test page

You can use the Go button or the printer driver to print a test page.
Using control panel button

1 Turn off the printer.
2 Make sure that the front cover is closed and the power cord is plugged in.
3 Hold down the Go button as you turn on the power switch. Keep the Go button pressed down until the Toner, Drum and Error LEDs light up. Release the Go button. Make sure that the Toner, Drum and Error LEDs are off.
4 Press the Go button again. The printer will print a test page.

I assume you are running the latest drivers etc. Can you see the printer in the device manager? Can you see it listed in printers?

Uninstall and reinstall the driver maybe?

Sounds like it's got a call service error ATM (All lights flashing).
Reset procedure for this:
With the printer off and the front door open, hold the 'go' button while turning the printer on. Continue to hold the 'go' button for 5-10 sec, then release. Wait 30 sec, turn printer off and back on.

If that doesn't work, it's probably toast.

The ready light is a steady green and thats all that shows up.

I did the printer off button 10 seconds and restart thing, but it's just fan noise and I'm unable to get the printer to print a test page.
