Not Sure which gtx 780 to get

I've been looking at:

MSI Geforce GTX 780 Gaming Edition

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 780 Windforce

Main uses will be graphic design, After Effects, and some ZBrush, Maya etc (yes I know that the Quadro is better for this). Will be replacing my 3GB GTX 580 that's stopped working. I won't be oc'ing it at all.

If you have a better suggestion, let me know.


BTW, specs are:

i7 980x
24GB RAM
256GB Crucial SSD

As ridiculous as it sounds because you won't be gaming, get the MSI gaming edition, cheaper, cooler, quieter.

Gaming will only be games like AC4, SWTOR and GTA V (whenever it's released for PC).

Personally I would get the card with the stock heat sink and fan as although the MSI card will run a few degrees cooler it will dump a lot of hot air inside your case where as the stock will exhaust it out the back, Plus the stock one just looks awesome to boot

I can't speak for MSI but I have the WF and it's a great card. I doubt you could go wrong with either tbh!

If you go for the stock cooler go for this on as it's abit cheaper
