Hey guys,

I'm just trying to choose between this:

Can anyone offer me any advice as to which would be better?

I've been having a look at a few of the threads on here and it seems that more people recommend the Nvidia over the AMD...could just be fanboys though!

MSI 970 you won't be disappointed

Pros for each one:

R290: Has free games, supports Mantle and other propriety AMD stuffs.

GTX970: Faster, produces less heat, uses less power, better over-clocking potential, cheaper, supports PhysX and other proprietary Nvidia stuffs.

NO fanboy here, because i've switched from AMD to Nvidia, the GTX 970 is definitely superior....in every way............even the Nvidia gaming experience software is way better than AMD Catalyst

if you've read all these posts then why are you starting a new thread, because it's pretty obvious that the 970 is superior...........or are you just trolling for an arguement !

Well from your comments, and benchmarks I've just had a look at, the 970 it is!

and if you can get two of them, this card is so good that one isn't enough

The GTX970 but I would try and get the Gigabyte one. AFAIK,Gigabyte RMA is UK based and MSI RMA is based in the Netherlands,so I would expect Gigabyte to have quicker turnaround times.
