Well i will be buliding a new computer at the end on july and was wondering if i should get the 920 Do OEM or Retail the now before they get out of stock and end up paying £220 in a month or two for really the same thing?.
I will be going high end watercooling hopefully and maby lapping the cpu so that voids my warrenty anyway?. Thinking of making a decision tonight on to buy it or not, suggestions?
 
Go for the OEM one and save a few quid, unless you need the stock cooler the retail one come's with? It does the job but you can't really Overclock with it.
 
I think that the i7 920's are at a good price right now, but that's not to say they won't be an even better price in a couple of months time. I'd usually buy everything all at once to save any hassle but it's up to you.
 
Buy now but don't do anything with it until you've checked it at stock so you could still send it back on the warranty. :p Seems unlikely they'll drop much (if any) below their current price.
 
Hmm really not sure about this once, read somewhere that 920 are going out of stock and the 930 is replaceing it but will only go down to about £220, the origonal price of the 920?
 
yeah i think once the 920's are gone, they are gone, and u'll end up having to get the 930 instead.

there so cheap because they are trying to get rid of the remaining ones.

i really cant see them getting much cheaper, nor having another cpu anywhere close to the value
