hi guys,

anyone know how to tell leopard to not automatically rip open a zip file as soon as its downloaded? i'm not a fan of this feature as sometimes i like to keep the zips...

(plus, i've noticed something very strange... when downloading password protected zips, they end up unpacked anyway  - leopard is crackin' em open the cheeky bugger!)

Try this QuickLook Plugin.

It will add ZIP-previewing abilities to Leopard's Quicklook :)

(There's also one for folder-previewing)

I think its one of the most boneheaded Mac ideas going. Not only is it annoying anything that aids drive-by downloading is a security FAIL.

And the icing on the cake; it is enabled by default on Safari.

thats bloody brilliant :D - more satisfying than letting safari just open it... and loads better if you're downloading stuff you aint sure about :)
