Note 10.1 or Nexus 10?

Seems to me that the Note is the better tablet bar the screen.

I'm finding the TF101 to slow (even when overclocked running Jelly Bean), so need something faster for Christmas.

Depends on what you do on the tablet.

Pros of Nexus 10:

Better screen for multimedia
Better chip? (Not sure on this, can't really find solid benchmarks on quad A9s vs dual A15s)
Will receive the latest Android version

Pros of the Note 10.1:
Multi app capability (only certain apps)
S-Pen
SD card slot

Really, just get what appeals to you more. Both are very good tablets.

Note is getting 4.2 ASAP

Only advantages of note are the s pen and sd card slot. If you aren't bothered about those definitely get the nexus

Am concerned though about the screen issues with the Nexus (light bleed).

Silly this one, but I far prefer the offical hard case for the note

Both are good tablets. I love my nexus as it's smooth. I date say three note when it gets 4.2 will be smooth too. As said earlier get the one you like most. The note is cheaper with cash back time running out for that though.

Also take into account that the nexus 10 has been out of stock for the last week so getting it in time for christmas is unlikely.

Been watching the Note 10.1 prices and I am amazed they have inflated so much, some shops have slapped £150 ontop of what they were asking a couple of weeks back. Absoloute Bullswallocks. Really was looking into one but at the prices they are I'd rather get a cheap tablet and abuse that.
