whats the equivilant desktop card to a Geforce 8400M G? if you can give a directx 8 and 9 card equivilants as well, not sure how easy that is mind

just got a new laptop (completely free :D) with a T2350 core2, wondering what its gaming limits would be

In order of performance (low to high) for nVidia notebook GPU's:

8400M G
8400M GS
8400M GT
8600M GS
8600M GT
8700M GT

I have an 8600MGT in my laptop. Can get 3300 3DMark 06 and 150FPS in Source Test.

Thats comparable in performance with a desktop NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT (I think).

Might give you somewhere to start with your comparison.
