I was hoping to get something for around £350, but that doesn't seem likely after doing a bit of research. If necessary I could increase my budget.

Main uses: Photoshop (a really old version) and photo editing, Internet, FTP, writing, Google Docs, Skype/G+ Hangouts, backing up photos to external USB drives

Ideally:
Under 1.5kg (as light as possible)
Windows (is 8 really that bad?)
13.3" inch matte display with good colour. I was going to get a 11.6" but perhaps this will be too restrictive
Long battery life (with ability to easily remove and replace battery so I can keep a spare charged up)
Decent keyboard, mouse unimportant as I'll be taking a Wacom tablet

I think this will be a decent enough spec to run everything I need smoothly:
6GB RAM
1TB 7200-rpm HDD
A6/i5 processor?
Flash cache?
I don't think I need a DVD/Blu-Ray drive (do they add weight?), hopefully I can install my version of Photoshop some other way

I visited a Curry's in Manchester which didn't have anything suitable so recommended I customise my own Lenovo Thinkpad, but I can't seem to get the right product under budget on their website. I hear Lenovo have good worldwide support, which could be important if I have a problem while travelling.

Thanks for any help. :)
