or are they abit behind with things?
reason i ask is ive seen a samsung laptop(RF510) thats near enough identical spec to my Acer, only differences i can see is it has a Geforce GT330M 1gb and a 480M i5 2.67ghz(or 2.5), has a normal drive rather than bluray, but those sorta things arnt important..
its on auction at £99 current bid with couple days to go and thought hmm interesting, it looks stylish, slightly faster in CPU power and has a Nvidia card and a nice shiny black finish, should i sell my acer for something thats only very slightly difference and probably atleast a year older than mine(about 2yrs mine is i think)
, then i started to look into the samsung and cant quite make out if that card is any better than my Radeon
..
and so my searching lead me to the notebookcheck site and looking up the benchmarks i was surprised the Radeon was rated quite weak on FR on the likes of Shift and MW2 on medium to high setting, which are 2 games i own and play perfectly on high settings???
which lead to me to wonder whether their site is even worth taking notice of?..
i used to play WOW on a dell dime 5000 that had a P4 3ghz Ati x300 and 512mb Ram with 80gb hdd and that was sooooo slow it was unreal, instances and gatherings of any kind were near impossible to play and Shift and MW2 feels nothing remotely, this laptop can even play Wow on good settings, so i dont know how they rate so weak(we talking max 25ps and min 14 or less).
