Notebookreview Forums Shutting Down

I am a member of multiple tech forums, and like many here I am sure, I am a member of Notebookreview forums.

Unfortunately the owners of the site have decided to completely shutter the forums after many many years. Maybe not a massive surprise, as they lost thier review/editorial staff maybe 5 years ago, but still a massive loss to the notebook community. There was information, fixes and resolutions there that could not be found anywhere else; and issues resolved first there that were then picked up by manufacturers and OEMs and rolled out to tall.

This will be a great loss for the laptop/notebook enthusiast community. Wanted to link here as am sure many do not realise. I had noticed the site went down for a day or two last week; but had not thought much of it.

Absolute travesty. The amount of info and knowledge that is going to be lost is terrible. They really need to find a way to preserve the forums, I've found it so useful over the years for advice and troubleshooting issues.

Wonder if this is related to the sudden up tick in new posters registering here. (or at least seems that way - seeing tons of posts the last few days by people who have just registered).
