A Notebook is a Laptop that is not a Netbook or Tablet PC.

A Notepad is an archaic form of data storage, using the now obscure format of paper media.

A notebook is a laptop, just companies are shying away from the term laptop as there was problems with people (men especially) using them on their lap and either burning themselves or harming their privates

Well I thought it was because they're usually notebook shaped and open like a notebook, but I must be wrong

I read in a couple of news reports that people had been burnt and there had been implications that laptops being used on laps lowered sperm count, so companies have been advised to move away from the term.

Think about it, it's hot on your groin, it's going to affect sperm production.

Heck, even wearing y-fronts compared to boxers lowers sperm count.
