Notfred

Notfred was mainly used (although not exclusively) for bigadv folding under Vmware on windows, now that they have stopped giving out bigadv WU's on Linux and have transfered the a3 and bigadv WU's to windows there isn't much point in using notfred...

Except.. as you have asked in a diskless situation. In that case then I am getting equivalent performance from a A3 WU on notfred to one on windows.
