Nothing on my desktop!

Hey
for some reason my desktop is blank when i llok at it
if i reash it though windows explorer or any other way, then i can plainly see that there is stuff on my desktop. i just cant see it normally.
why?

Right Click -> arrang Icons by -. make sure "show desktop icons" is ticked
