Notification Icon?

Why does that Notifications icon in the system tray keep showing as highlighted (indicating a new notification), yet when I open it there's just a 'no new notifications' message? It then goes back to being un-highlighted for a while again.

Hmm, I too have noticed that.

Correct me if I am wrong, but you mean when it is bright white right? When it works, it is a darker colour overall?

Yep, been bugging me too. Also seem to get occasional notifications about security not being installed and firewall being off even though both are installed and on.

I noticed this too, so did some searching, apparently its because the little popups you get for plugging in a USB drive or something being installed, that disappear after a few seconds are treated as notifications so they light up the icon.

Noticed the icon was showing quiet hours was activated. Clicked it, but it stayed. Had to enable than disable quiet times again.
