Hello all, I would like to venture into the big world of web design.

I have some books on html and css, however theyre starter books...Ive learnt everything from these books and now I dont know how to keep learning.

Theres plenty of books for experts, but I cant find any novice to intermediate books that follow on from your first forrays.

I would like it if there was a series of books that took you from novice to professional, is there something like this available?

I will also welcome any online guides with helping to learn.

Thanks all

What sort of level are you at? Do you have any example stuff to judge?

Also, web design, or web development?

At some point it's easier to just focus on doing cool things from tutorials. Learning process for me was always:

Me: That looks cool! How do I do that?
*Find tutorial, learn it*

I second my froggily-named previous responder. Find some specific thing you want to achieve, set out to achieve it. You won't get anywhere by trying to learn from books without being able to practically apply it.

Do you have anything to demonstrate what you've done so far?

And yes, design or development? One requires a creative mind, one a logical.
