Now a case is all I need ...

How much do you have to spend?

If money isn't an issue go for the S80/V1000+/V2000+/101/V2100/Eclipse 62/P180/PC-7+

Take your pick :p

2 Grand. But that's a big list ... I like the look of the S80, the 101 and the P180. Assuming cash is not a factor (I'm not about to worry over £50 or so when spending 2K on this spec), which is the best and which will be easiest for a first build? What size Dustproofs will I need? Low noise and cool temps are my needs.

Out of that lot, the s80 is probably the best case, it is however a little unusual in layout and design, so for a first time build, the v2000/v1000 might possibly be better and easier IMO. Both are still cracking cases though. Also if you like the v1000, then have a look at the pc-101 as its essentially the same case with a door.

With that much money being spent, and you saying your relatively new to PCs I would say buy an Akasa Eclipse 62 and thermally advanced side panel.

The s80 while superb is not for everyone, is fairly tricky to work with aswell.

Akasa Eclipse
PC7+
G70
v1000+

I would personally not go for a S80 for a first build.

Was wanting a case with a door to keep things nice and tidy looking. That takes the Eclipse out of the equation ... the mirage seems to not be regarded as a good case on here though.

Like the look of the PC-101, but the SPC review is not exactly glowing.

Love the look of the P180 ... but I don't think the seasonic psu will reach and this case is a nightmare to cable-up I hear.

Which leaves the S80 ...

S80 is fine to work with, i didnt have a problem except for putting the cdrom in (first thing from now on!).

It is a big case and it/is will become uncommon because of its price tag!

A good thing in my book anyway
