So all of those of you out there who don't own the latest Z170 or X99 chipset but really want one of the latest insanely fast M.2 PCI-E SSD's can now actually buy one and boot from it in Windows, you just need the above Asus Hyper Card. :)

Good job!

Cheeky bundle deal on the way?

Get someone to fix the website though, as the bottom of the page with the Samsung drives you linked to is in German.

You mean Samsung website or OcUK is website is in German?

No bundle deal I am afraid, no margin in SSD's to be giving further discounts.

Definitely up for one of these as no real benefit to me upgrading to the latest chip set (I'm on Haswell Z97) but I'm after the 950 Pro 512GB any idea's on when your likely to receive stock?

Shortage unfortunately, SM951 is the same drive, just different colour PCB. :)

Does the SM951 NVMe require a driver for full speeds? Good old impulse buying got me the adapter and one of the 256GB drives, the read speeds seem fine but the write not so much... :p

It's the bench mark programme you need to try a different version if memory serves me right and try other benchmarks and you will see much better results.

Yes I no jedifragger as I said been browseing site since it first began as you were.
Ive noticed many many loyal memmbers gone over the time for having a opinion ocuk didn't like

Still here ain't you? :)

The forums have become far more relaxed over the years and even though the company has grown vastly and is now part of much larger group which spans the globe OcUK has remained OcUK just more polished and only gets better. :)

But you choose to ignore the fact you claim to have the best pricing, yet you have been told that you really don't. Selective responses for comments only. This is where the lack of belief comes in. Seems that you guys only want to push and promote "group brands" which I presume make you guys the most profit instead of the "best" products now. This is why you are losing out on customer support now.

You only have to look at your PC systems range, and its just full of "group brands" cases is a clear example. Why do you insist of offering only Kolink, Bitfenix, etc... what happened to offering full choice of brands... oh wait I know... sold out to the big corporation ethos.

SSD pricing on the 951's my error they were on weekly offer but when I posted the offers had ended and the prices gone back up. I'll get them back on weekly offer next week.

We don't limit the case options on systems:

One could also flip it around and also say that OcUK actually gives you the most choice of brands I don't think anyone has an in stock range of so many different case, graphics cards, memory brands such as OcUK does. One of our competitors only sells Corsair memory, we sell most of the memory brands. We even listen to our customers and have phased in brands at request, G.Skill springs to mind in the past.

Please let me know which current best brands and or products OcUK is not stocking and I will look into it or let you know why we choose not to list it. :)

I will ask my systems guy why they are not options. :)
With any system if a customer contacts us we can normally make changes to specification without issue. :)

Logitech wheels? Surely the G29/ G920 would be pretty good sellers? The equivalent Thrustmaster which you stock (300 TRS) doesn't get a great press for reliability, nor does TM customer support.

We want Logitech and are always trying to get it but stock is either not available or we could simply buy it from PC World for less than what we can buy it for from distribution. I know one of my purchasers has being working months on trying to resolve it with no luck, he is still hopeful.

Any other products?

Gentle typhoon? It is better than Vardar, is it not? Cheers

Unfortunately we cannot get them any more. :(

The recent special edition fan Rich did a couple of weeks ago in partnership with Linus was based on a Gentle Typhoon I believe, grab one of those if there are any left. :)

You have to purchase an M.2 card to use with this adapter, a regular SSD cannot be plugged into it.

Nidec will still produce them, you just have to buy them in bulk (10k IIRC? or I just made that up :p) there is a watercooling company in the US who has stock of his own Gentle Typhoons in black. I've found them in the UK aswell, exactly the same 1850RPM fan just with a different model number.

Your pretty much spot on, 10k volume, something we are unwilling to do at present. I know RJK is looking into things so maybe something will happen next year. :)

This made me laugh.

Exactly how we feel, we've sold Logitech in the past and it flies out, but distribution of Logitech is a disaster these days and were not willing to sell a brands product when we lose money doing so, they need to sort stuff out. :)

I'm tempted but I have a couple of questions... (I have a Z77 board running Win7):-

* It says in the top post that the Asus card at £19.99 is "bootable in Windows 7, 8 and 10" but several later posts suggest changes are need to both the BIOS and Win7 install image?

* What (if anything) is the difference between the Asus card and this one https://www.overclockers.co.uk/lycom-dt-120-m.2-pci-e-ssd-to-pci-e-adapter-card-hd-000-lm.html

* Why is the 950 Pro around 40% more expensive than the SM951 for the same size? They seem to have almost identical read/write and IOPs. Only reason I can see to pay more is if the Pro comes with a driver to install Win7 - anyone know?

* I only have a PCIe2 x16 slot free. I know if I put one of these PCIe3 x4 M.2 converter cards in it'll fit, but will it be limited to 2GB/sec (which apprently is PCIe2 x4 max bandwidth)?

Am grateful for any advice - cheers!

950 - Retail product, longer warranty, software and black PCB.
951 - OEM product, 1yr warranty, no software, green PCB.

Both drives perform the same.
