I am running a Corsair 620watt PSU on the following rig: -

1 x Intel Quad Core QX6700 CPU.
1 x XFX GTX8800 Graphics Card.
1 x Asus P5N32E-SLi Motherboard.
2 x 1GB PC-6400 Dominator Ram
2 x Seagate Barracuda's 7200.10 HDD's
1 x Floppy Drive
1 x Samsung Lightscribe DVD RW

I am really concerned because it states on the box of the XFX graphics card that XFX recommend a minimum of 625 watts in non SLi mode.

I did a bit of research on these forums before I bought any kit & people who responded stated that the 620 watt PSU would be more than adequate.

What would actually happen if there isn't sufficient power?

I presuming nothing would work or would I see I decrease in performance?

If there was a lack of power your PC would basically be unstable or not even boot at all.

You should be fine with your 620 PSU. NVidia/XFX only put that in to cover their own arses.

System would lock up, Crash, generally be unstable, benchmarks would suffer and gaming would ne a nightmare if possible at all.

Forget that though as that PSU is more than enouth for your system.
