Been itching to buy the bits for my new rig,
E6600, 2gb ram, GF8800 GTS 320mb, asus p5-b plus mobo,
everything added upto about 750ish

Question is, dont have to get it NOW, but how much will prices be likely to change in the next few weeks since i will probably want to get it running in mid-june/july.... dont want to end up in the silly situation of prices halving in 1 month just because i couldnt wait....

Everything is in the basket.... so tempting just to press BUY.... :p

If you are not going to get it up and running for a month or so anyway, then there is not a lot of point in buying the kit now.

There is an Intel price cut due on the 22nd July so that may be the time to get your wallet out.

the waiting game will bite you everyime regardless.. computer parts are forever going down and changing.. my advice to you this is the same as id give anyone this week.. give it 2 weeks minimum to see how rhe r600 REALY bencharks and what its like for accualy playing games.. and if its really good nvidia price drops will be on there way too

Whilst I would usually agree with the above sound advice, in this case, I can see little benefit to be gained by buying components only to have them sit in their boxes for at least a month before being used.

The OP states he wants to be up and running mid June/July so it makes sense to buy it closer to that time as in the current climate he is unlikely to see significant price rises and may see price cuts in the intervening weeks.
