right, i have the cash to go i7 now, and can't decide whether to buy now or wait until after x-mas

are prices going to go down as i7 goes more mainstream or are they going to increase because of inflation

the spec of the PC i want won't change, no matter when i order, i now what i want

tis just when to order

Any sort of price reduction, seems to get countered with the price of $/£. Prices wont change much, but could go either up or down.

Wait if you can. As ^^ the Phenom II should help to drive i7 prices down, or you can buy P55 based i7 later on which should be cheaper than the current x58 based ones.

Phentom prices may reduce i7 prices in america, but the weak pound is just as litley to make them cost more in the UK by then.

We gonna get screwed over by the doller for a long while yet lol.

as if its gonna be a while after x-mas, i really can't wait that long, lol

currently using my old p4 1.5ghz and its driving me round the bend, lol.
