Hi all got a head scratcher here

So I have a B650e-e motherboard, today I have just tried to install my new 9800x3d, it threw a 0d error code so I swapped back to my old CPU and downloaded the new BIOS to a USB, made sure it was named correctly and the USB was Fat format. Put in new CPU back in and ran the BIOS flash.

Then went to hit the power button and nothing, no power at all, the only light I have is the RGB on the MB

Been through all the cables so no issues

Any ideas I'm stumped

Done the whole clear CMOS remove battery and all that. Ethernet still blinks green so some power is there.

Hi and welcome.

If you put your old cpu back do you get the same symptoms?

Things to try

Check the CPU socket on the motherboard for bent pins.

Try clearing the CMOS on the motherboard

Try booting with one stick of memory
Hi, just done a reflash with the old CPU and same symptoms no power at all

Would those pins be causing the 0 power issue?

Looks like a new MB for me then, had a go at trying to straighten them but not looking much better

Sure would.

You could attempt to fix it but it looks difficult ,there's a guy on here called @Vince He does this sort of thing. Even if you get aother motherboard it mite be worth it .

What's your budget for a board ?
I have already written it off, had a quick go at straightening them but it's beyond my tools and ability.

Have ordered another ROG B650E-E should be here Saturday

Royally annoyed myself as I was gentle as hell putting that new chip in but apparently now enough! Oh well expensive lesson

Thanks all for the trouble shooting!

So update, taking it to a friend tonight who is a little more experienced with this kind of repair, have a replacement board coming at the weekend incase it is dead and past saving.
