Hi
Have waited to play BF3 beta to confirm what I already know. The game was playable at 1920x1080 (which surprised me I know its only a Beta) I thought I would struggle, played at 30fps. But I have to upgrade but which card, my main line of thinking was the
MSI ATI radeon 6950 twin frozr 111 2gb
MSI ATI radeon 6950 twin frozr 11 2gb
Saphire ATI radeon 6950 dual fan 2gb
I would like a single card and probably wont be over clocking
Will be upgrading other parts after Christmas, memory, psu, cpu
Am I right in thinking the psu will do for now and the frozr 111 is mainly for over clocking, or do I need to go as high as the 6950 to play on high.
Your opinions are well appreciated. thanks
Budget is not a problem

Providing it has two 6 pin PCIe connectors you'll be ok, minimum recommended PSU is 450W for a 6950.

Out of those 3, I have a Sapphire dual fan and a MSI twin frozr II 2GB and the Sapphire is quite often cooler than the MSI.

They both overclock well although I believe the MSI is better for this, if you do decide to head down that path.

Thanks for your reply James I take it we're talking about the psu having two 6 pin (noob question) the other thing is will it fit in my case OK.
