Do you need 49 USB 2 ports? Look ye here!

I know I'm one for USB devices - I have a 13-port hub - but this seems like complete overkill. Of course, there's no kill like overkill! :)

I can't think of any reason why you would??? I've you have that many devices for say storage then you should be looking a switch or NAS anyway.

Technically, each controller allows up to a maximum of 127 devices each sharing the half duplex 480M/bps bandwidth of USB 2 although this has increased top 5 and 10 M/bps for USB 3 and USB 3.1 respectively.

Although the speed is very much welcome i've never had more than half a dozen devices connected at one time. Mouse/Keyboard/Printer direct to motherboard then hot swapable mobile phone/External backup drive/Xbox controller into the FP as and when needed.. that's it.

The Cambrionix ones are very good if you need to connect and charge a whole bunch of USB enabled things.

10 port ones are great for automated testing of such devices.
