what to do......

OcUK 24" dell - 520 ish

another site - same screen - 480......

grrrrr

but i like OcUK more than the otehr so maybe i should wait, then again.....

Add on postage - see if that makes much of a difference.

Why pay £40 more - that's an awful lot of loyalty

no P&P involved for me, only about 3 miles from me... might try a web note - he can only tell me to sod off lol....

Hi there

We have now dropped our price to compete.

We are now £493 Including VAT but do remember ours come with 4yr warranty wheras our competitors only offer 3yr. Most people generally keep monitors a long time especially expensive ones so the extra warranty is worth the money. :)

!!!, never even got time to write an email to him lol.... he must have eyes like a hawk!

looks like a trip to OcUK at the weekend coming up for me :) - got to spend my cash on something!

omg, lol, an hour after I change my samsun to the Dell because it was taking its sweet time to come into stock, you lower the price of the Dell by £10, what a load of crap lol.

I was considering it too as the Sammy is not out yet. But even though I've seen it for £429 No competitor talk please! I am holding out for the Samsung as all of their screens in the past that I've seen or used have been outstanding.

Well i think, to be honest, that Gibbo matches the price of another firm with 20mins of me posting in the forums is good going.

Maybe only £10 off, but when your on a budget, £10 is a meal for the family, so every bit counts.

And ive never seen that side of the M6 before, always wanted an excuse to go there :)

Isn't the Sammy 24" a TN panel though? The dell will be better by default in that case.

Hey Gibbo, while your at it I found the Samsung SM-226BW 22" for £239 ;)

Hi there

We sold over 120pcs today, so I don't need to adjust my price on that one. :)

I found the 226 for £226.69 inc VAT :)

Re the 245 - I'm sure it will give the Dell a very good run for it's money :) it's a new product that has been tweaked, it has a faster response time and the dot pitch is good (not sure what the Dell's is), and of course it's a Samsung - they just have brillant LCDs!

If you are using it for a PC monitor (and not worried about people viewing it like a TV - ie wider viewing angles) then it should hit the spot nicely.

So it's a case of if you can make more money out of us you will? That doesn't go down well with folk!

Hi there

Its a case of supply and demand. If Samsung can only supply us 500 per week, but were capable of selling 1000 per week then we have to slow down the sales somehow. When Samsung drop 1000+ off a week in my warehouse the price will come down. This is business afterall and when you can sell x amount at a certain price and they still sell then it makes bad business sense to sell them at a lower price to just run out and have stock supply issues.

Like anything if you want to get a product sooner then generally you pay a higher price, when product is freely available then prices come down.

It depends on how much you value your customers. No competitor talk please!
Why are they not selling it at the same high price as you?

So I'm sorry but I don't buy the "we have to slow down the sales somehow".

If this is business with your primary aim to make as much money as possible then that's fine charge more, but don't expect customer loyalty to come with it.
