Everyone else probably already knows about this but I only recently discovered it. I just found KDE Connect which will link your Android phone to your desktop. It works on both Gnome and Plasma (and Cinnamon so I assume any DE) and lets you see phone notifications on your desktop, browse files on your phone from your desktop**, find your phone, and read and reply to SMS messages. Very useful indeed. It's not a go-to utility for me.
