An article here from the planetary society about a system similar to BOINC called Bossa. it will allow projects to harness the brain power of volunteers - similar to the way Stardust@home and Galaxy Zoo have.

This is a really intresting concept but open to massive human error (I guess you could send the same sample data to 3+ members and thereby get seti like crosschecking)

Good stuff! I did have a look at Stardust@Home and did the sample exercise but don't think anything came of it after that
