NR200 Owner's Thread

This case I'm still mainly tempted for vented side panel with AIO. That will allow great cooling, but I will be missing out of TG panel with RGB.
The Lian-Li TU150 I'd most likely also go for the vented panel version and not the TG panel version. That will be good with air cooling and GPU heat can come out at the side.
Then the Lian-Li O11D "mini" will be best for cooling and RGB, but as we said, it will be bigger by quite a bit probably.

Choices! At least the hardware that will go in it isn't here yet, so no need to rush it, as much as I want to buy it already ;)

I may get the Lian-Li O11D mini to put my current hardware in (as it will fit ATX) and get the Cooler Master N200(P) for the new build.

So you're weighing up this case with the vented panel vs TU150 with the vented panel vs an 011 Mini?

NR200 is ~75% of the size of the TU150, has more cooling options, more fan mounts, and way more ventilation. Okay, it lacks support for big air coolers like the D15 and DRP4. But it still supports some pretty meaty air cooling options; U12A, Fuma 2, Mugen 5, etc. With the added ventilation and extra fan mounts, these coolers in this case might even outperform their larger counterparts in the TU150.

As for the O11 Mini, it's in a completely different size class. It's roughly the same size (litres) as a Define C, but with a larger footprint due to the format.

@McPhee Thanks for your input. The TU150 does look to have a better intake for airflow coming from the front. As you can see in aabbcc's case (no phun intended :p) with the GPU being that big, it blocks the intake airflow. In regards to O11D mini, I know, but it's so pretty ;)

@aabbcc Have you tried the CPU cooling with the fans turned around? So it has fresh intake from the rear to front? As you said yourself, it looks like the GPU is blocking fresh intake now, hence I'm curious whether the temps would be better that way around.

They will be better its been proven in the Ncase M1 which is the same layout but its unfiltered, personally I wouldn't bother for a few degrees, your CPU will perform the same whether your temps are 70C or 65C

You can always use a fan filter on the rear intake if that's what you are worried about. His CPU hits 73 and GPU 84 at the moment. The CPU heat wont help with GPU temp either as they will heat each other up with prolonged use in a long gaming session. I will be buying a CPU which is likely already to run hot, so 5 degrees less will help to lower fan speeds and thus noise.
This is all theoretic of course, but it will help in deciding between vented panel and TG panel ;)

Sry was a bit tired when posting, the rear cpu fan is set as intake while the front (right) CPU fan is set as exhaust!

Any custom loops in these yet?

Seems to be a few popping up on r/SFFPC. Quite a few WIP pics too.

Looking forward to seeing what some people manage to cram in there. Hard-line loop with top and bottom radiators (custom bracket for the top) and TG side? Seems inevitable, eventually.

Wait, what? The two fans on the air cooler air blowing air at each other? That does not sound efficient at all.

Probably easier to explain with an image :) This is how it's set up:

@aabbcc that makes sense, I thought the front fan was opposite from that, so I got really confused lol. Now I look at the photo again I can kind of see that it blows into the case indeed.

@McPhee I just had a look on /r/SFFPC and there sure are a lot of NR200(P)'s passing through right now. Most are just standard builds or bad pictures ;), however I saw two with custom loop dual radiator setup which is insane to stuff that all in. Can't wait to see even more as it will just give me more ideas.

On /r/SFFPC you can also see a few RGB fans used on the top which looks quite nice as they give a nice look through the top mesh.

From /r/SFFPC
140mm fan on vented side panel without the bracket works:

Just a PSA for NR200 builders and potential builders you can add a side fan to the NR200 even without the side fan bracket. I am using a NHU12A to cool my CPU so the included fan bracket doesnt fit, I first tried to screw a 120mm fan to the side panel itself but the holes of the fan and the panel did not line up but with a 140mm fan they line up perfect. Using black screws you cant even notice the screws from afar.
