Apparently they have some 'proper' classics on there like OutRun. One assumes they got permission for this from SEGA since they still regularly churn it out as part of compilations/xbox arcade etc.

I heard it even detects Xbox pads!

I think the difference here is it is ostensibly legal, which other methods of emulation are not (strictly speaking)

Great link. Just played Street Fighter 2 with one punch button (spacebar). Still managed to beat Blanka! Do have sound issues but would look into that if I was intending to use the site a lot.

Can't help but think many of these games are still covered by copyright laws and therefore are not in the public domain. Given the coverage this site has got I guess we find out soon.

EDIT: I did read one comment on one of the news sites that suggested whilst copyright law would still cover these games, under US law, back-ups of the games for historical archiving purposes is allowed.
