NT4 Problems, Crashing on netwrok access

I need to reinstall nt4 on some old pc's, these are used on that factory to link to the weighscales and have to run nt4.

Install all seems to go fine but as soon as you try and access anything shared the machine crashes, same if you try and connect to the domain.

I thought it was bad network drivers (as it crashed during setup using intel card) but put in an ancient DFE-530TX and its still crashing

Any ideas, could be some wierd machine specific problem i suppose so going to try a different brand pc, but anyone got any other ideas?

(SPECs, 800mhz PC, MSI6323 Via 694x chipset, ATi Rage 128 graphics, 128mb memory)

yep sp6a + the update pack.

doing straight NT4 to SP6a so no win98 interface to slow things down.

event log is empty too

Just reinstalled on another machine and its fine, very strange as machine is solid as a rock untill you install networking

already swapped nics, twice.

In the end swapped pci slots and its fine. Old PC's

edit, doh gone again. Altough its on the domain now
