Hey,

Having some trouble...!

My photos are currently in an aperture library file, on an external NTFS hard drive. When I load aperture and point it towards this library location, it wont allow it because it can't write to it (due to it being ntfs...). I tried downloading the paragon trial which should allow me to write to an NTFS volume, however, it only allows it on your osx install drive.

Haven't got enough space on my lappy to transfer the library across, what can I do to be able to write to this drive?

Have you tried NTFS–3G?

I've used that with 10.5 and it's been great.

Thanks for reply Panzer. Unfortunately I get the same problem, I can only install it on the osx volume, not an external drive

You aren't trying to install the program on the external drive are you?

No. Ive just got an aperture library file located on the drive. I want to set aperture to use that library.

you can enable it native in SL but it made my machine realllllllllly unstable.

I use Paragon NTFS and theres also MacFUSE but I've only used them for file management and not within a program, Hope this helps.

MacFUSE + NTFS-3G and you should be fine.
