NTL 10mb. Anyone noticed speed increase?

I got NTL 10mb and now can d/l at speeds in access of 1.2 mb/s somtimes 1.4mb/s.
Is this due to them upgrading our speed over the next 4 months or so?

I havnt seen anything on the NTL website about it either.

I noticed it a week or so ago, was getting about 1.8mb/sec for about 10mins at a time before it dropped back down.

I was actually d/l somthing at 1.3mb/s for atleast 30mins maybe even nearly an hour.. I do get consistant speeds here..I am from Derby and NTL is based here afaik Just down the road.

I've always got 1200KB/sec on my 10mbit and I've had it around a year now. If you weren't seeing anywhere near this before then I'm guessing that your area was heavily congested before and it's recently received an upgrade so that there's enough bandwidth to give you the speeds you actually should've been getting.

Check your modem status at http://192.168.100.1 and see what the data rates are.

As for PieMaster's 1.8MB/sec - you would've been on the 20mbit trial but unfortunately this ended a while ago so that's why your speeds went down
