I have a D-Link DI-624 wireless router and NTL (cable) as my internet provider. I can get the wireless card to see the router but I cannot get the router to connect to the internet. Please help :(

Thanks for any help

Do you receive your Broadband through a modem or a Set top box?

If its a modem, turn it off for 20 secs then turn it back on (make sure all your cables are still plugged in) then try.

If its a set top box, you'll need to register your mac address with the modem, or alternatively there may be setting in your routers cfg for the wan interface to be cloned with another mac, if so use the MAC address of the NIC your modem used to plug into.

something I forgot, once you have enabled DHCP, you map need to do the following on your PC:

Go to a command prompt:
click start -->run, type cmd
type ipconfig /release
type ipconfig /renew

Happy Surfing!

Enable DHCP on the router and do the commands above on your PC. Then power off the modem for 20 secs and then turn it back on. This should be all you need to do.

You wont have to enter any IP addresses anywhere.
