I presume you have turned off your modem or stb along with your wireless equipment for a few minutes to see if that sorts the problem.
If you have then i would try a wired connection this would then rule out its a NTL fault if all works ok.
to avoid problems, take the following steps in the future:
1) take wireless modem and unplug
2) take wireless modem out back and burn it
3) Install Cat5, 100mb standard rj45 wired network with router, and realise that wireless is nothing more than a gimmick and will remain nothing more than a gimmick untill they can establish a proper generic set of rules for the ways in which it works, make it simpler to use for ordinary folk and make a connection that wont die eveytime your neighbour turns on the radio.
