NTL Broadband (slow to load websites)

Am I going mad or has NTL become slower since they upgraded connections from 2MB to 4MB. A lot of webpages take an age to load (and sometimes I get lost connections)

I am seriously considering ditching them and going elsewhere.

I have tested the connection and I am definitely getting 4MB.

Has anybody In the Kent area having the same Issues?.

try a different proxy
eg swan-cache-2.server.ntli.net on port 8080

http://www.ntl-isp.ntl.com/ServiceStatus seems to be reporting some general browsing issues.

I've been finding out slow as well recently, and have just been upgraded to 4MB.

Does anyone know how to change proxies in OS X?

In firefox you click on OPTIONS > General > Connections.

You will see 3 alternatives :
Direct
Auto Detect
Manual

in the manual put the settings I gave you.

I'm not saying it will work but sometimes I have problems getting sites and changing the proxy normally fixes it.

Internet Explorer also has similar settings.
