For the last couple of weeks I've had issues with NTL/Virgin Media.
At first I was just experiencing slow downloading/msn dropping etc.

Now, for the last couple of days I have been unable to load web pages unless I used a proxy server, and I can not get mail through outlook. It instantly errors "The host 'pop.ntlworld.com' could not be found....Error Number: 800CC0D". MSN and downloading is fine now.

Tried helpline but they seem completely clueless, and unless I speak to a UK call centre I don't want to know (which hasn't happened so far).

Ive always had to use a proxy to view web pages with ntl, direct connection gives me very poor results. Sometimes i can view web pages other times i cant.
Its best to use a proxy.
They were having a few email problems the other day when switching over from ntl to virgin media but all is fine now.
Have a look at www.cableforum.co.uk, someone there will be able to help you out, virgin media/ntl employees use the forum and can look into problems for you.

i to am having this problem as both places i live, my mums isn't so bad, i just loose the net for like a minute once twice a day, but at my dads he can loose the net for hours upon hours and it doens't come back.

Is this because of the switch over to virgin and will go eventually?
