Last night some bright sparks who live in my area, thought it would be a great idea to set fire to our local exchange/junction box, which has caused my whole street and the streets surrounding it to lose all there NTL services . I have already spoken to NTL who have logged the fault but have no ETA on when the fault is going to be fixed. I was just wondering if any of you guys worked for NTL and know how long things like this take to repair?

Thanks in advance

(The box is a smoldering mess at the mo, if your wondering how badly damaged it is :( )

Go door to door, calling on any of your neighbours with the NTL grey box on their wall and get them to ring in the fault? (which would make sure it gets raised in priority over a couple of calls).

I know that when we had repeated problems with our VOD, when I mentioned to the engineer that a couple of neighbours were also having the same problem (and he'd just been to the same problem on a nearby street) he rang his center and told them about the fact it appeared to be an area problem.

I think a fair few of my neighbours have called to complain, but i have spoken to the mrs a few time she said she has not seen one NTL van engineer etc, i would have thought because of the serverity of the problem somebody would at least come out and see what the damage is?

Yippee, just spoke to the mrs and all has been repaired, pretty good tbh, rewired and fixed within 3 days. :D
