Hiya guys,
Anyone know if its possible to get the NTL student deal out of the standard CS?
I'm moving into the student house on the 12th of August, & obviously I want to get the internet up as soon as possible.
During term time, we normally have a sales rep hanging around with an 8mb broadband, TV & phone deal for £30 with the shorter contract (9mths iirc), but they aren't around in the holidays.

Otherwise, any numbers for the student reps?

When I was at uni I had Telewest broadband. At the end of the school year I just told them that I was moving house and Telewest services weren't available at the new location. You just have to give them a post code to verify and you've got a legit way to get out of your contract early. Worked 3 times for me. Heck I was even doing it for 3 months at a time with NTL broadband over the summer when I got back home :D

I think you've misread Imy, he's not looking to get out of a contract. He's looking to get a student deal from the standard customer services before the rep's appear onsite offering the same deal.

All I could suggest would be to give them a call and see what they say. If you have proof, then they may match the deal. All of the dealings that I've had with NTL so far have been excellent. Nothing like the bad reports that I'd heard. Thumbs up from me :)
