ntl to projector problems

hi just purchased a projector,got it connected to the ntl box scart to back of pj svideo cable,picture is in black and white anybody know of a solution as to why this is,have i bought the wrong cable.

NTL box doesn't support s-video, if it did there would be a menu option for it.

could you recomend what i need then,i think the ntl is set on rgb but the projector only accepts svid component and composite,is there such a thing as a rgb scart to svid lead.

scart to composite is the only option

There must be some sort of converter for RGB to component, but will need electronics to convert the signal. Not sure how good or expensive it would be.

There's always ways of converting signals but as that shows they aren't usually cheap.

got sorted thanks the solution was a 4.99 adapter done the job great just watched chelsea get beaten in colour

You can buy component to scart cables for abut £15.

So whats the difference between a Scart to componant and a componant to Scart ? If you do a Google for Scart to componant it comes up with enough hits though like systemsdead said it would cost a lot of money for a 10M one.

They only convert the signal one way.
