ntl tv just packed up, advice please!

anyone have any advice on what to do with this. basically my screen went black, stayed that way for a while so i switched the box off at the wall and then waited 30secs and switched it back on, it is now on the sorry to interupt your viewing we are updating you service screen, and has been for 10mins. any ideas what to do?
