NTL/Virgin package question.

Hi all,

Would it be possible for me to keep my 10mb cable broadband service with Virgin which I really dont want to have to give up for ADSL but cancel my phoneline and Digital TV with them? Would love to have a Sky TV package after all thats gone on which obviously needs a BT phone line but not sure if this is possible.

Tried ringing Virgin but theres a 55 minute wait time at the moment!

I don't see why not.
You may not see a substantial saving in the cost by getting rid of them... just like if you get the Virgin ADSL it costs no extra to have the weekend and evening phone calls thrown in.

What does their website say about the pricing/packages available?

I currently have just telephone (cheapest package) and 10mb broadband

I have sky tv and a telewest phone line!
Or do new sky customers have to have a bt phoneline connected for 12 months?

Yeah i was gonna say what is it with all this needing a BT phone line with Sky TV, We've had Sky Tv here for years & it's plugged in through a Telewest Phone Line.

Could be possible that you need BT now i have no idea though.

to answer the question yes you can but you don't need to Sky will work fine with a TW phone line and for that matter even without a phone line unless you actually use interactive games etc. Sky talk won't work but that's not exactly much of a loss for me.
