yes google is a wonderful thing except as stated have tried some things including this web page (which was not stated)
will not boot win cd
got 98 rescue disk but this says disk full when it trys to write to c: drive
just thought someone might have had this problem
can not boot into cd so can not do repair
i am proper stuck and in need of help

You are proper stuck if you cant even boot from cd? I had the same problem not long ago and copying the needed files while in repair mode off the win xp cd fixed it for me.

An idea for you, can you take out the drive and slave it into another pc and copy the corrupted/missing files from there? or even try flashing the bios again?

The fact that you can even boot from cd tells me that mabye your bios is not 100% happy with what its reading?

Hope you get it sorted, pc's a great when they are working but when they go wrong i get this incredible urge to throw it out the nearest window.......grrrrr

a 98 rescue disk won't work as it can't read NTFS. You will need something like NTFS Pro in order to be able to read it.

Possible solution would be to try slaving the hard drive on another PC and copying the NTLDR file accross. Although it may just be that the flash screw up has completely messed up the motherboard (if it won't boot from CD then this is adistinct possiblility)

hi guys thanks any way
right when i have set it to boot from cd ,i have put no other boot devices.
itcomes up like this
verifying DMI Pool Data ..................
Boot from cd :
Boot from cd :

NTLDR is missing
press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart

Im guessing your pressing any key to boot from cd when the boot from cd comes up? or it just stops before it gives you the chance?

Possible that the bios hasn't picked up your cd rom device, id be pulling the drive out and slaving to get those files back. Reflashing the bios might be an idea as well.

Tried booting to the CD on another PC just to make sure CD is ok?

Just choose your hard drive as first boot ... problem solved.

The NTLDR error just means it can't find a device to boot to.
