Mate just build his first PC and keep getting an "NTLDR" error when navigating around the BIOS in order to change the boot sequence. Apparently F10 also doesn't want to save after he change the sequence. Anyone any ideas what this could be?

hm i had this last night trying to install windows without the sata drivers installed.

my mate also has this but not in the bios. he cant boot from HDD or CDROM it just gives him thta message and says please restart!

OK, I think there's a communications problem for a start, if he's getting the NTLDR not found error he's no longer in the BIOS.

Can you get a bit more info, board make & model, number and config of HDDs, current boot order and desired boot order.

he needs to change his boot priority to either cd drive (if he is going to install windows)
or hdd if he has already installed it

Also there is a hdd priority list in some bios too
