Will an NTSC J game play on my UK 360?
(I'm guessing not)

Could I import a Japanese 360 (from playasia) and then get all my games not only earlier, but cheaper?

Seems too good to be true.

What am I missing?

I think the answer is yes you can but you need a power transformer and obviously you're restricted to JAP xbox360 titles. I presume these will have JAP text in games too.

I had a JAP import megadrive and Super Famicom and this was the case. (Although i think they played all region carts, cant quite remember).

I've looked at it myself funny enough.

Another import question eh? 360 games are split into regions and its up to the developers to mark which machine regions will play the discs. Consult the almighty list.

Games can work out cheaper but not always earlier. Table Tennis for example came out in the UK then US months before Asia. Theres other things like needing a stepdown transformer. Practically all games in Asia will have an English option but there are a few like Dynasty Warriors (Shin Sangoku Musou) that don't. You can expect the big name games to have English though.

you can use the power brick that comes with the UK Pal xbox 360 since it's external. That's what I use for my US 360.

I'd be concerned about reliability.... if it fails, would it need to go back to PA for example, or would the turn around be the same directly with MS ?
