Ntune and Vista?

Ok, so I got my EVGA 8800GTX today, and have Ntune installed..

Question.. If I click optimal, then it lowers my clock speed from 575Mhz to 546Mhz - if I do test at any speed (even from about 500Mhz) then it says failed.

Does Ntune not work with Vista?

It did exactly the same with my 7900GT.

Are there any overclocking tools that work with Vista? I've had no success with coolbits or Rivatuner..

Download nibitor and nvflash.
run nvflash in dos and make a backup of your gpu's bios which you can read with nibitor in windows. you can then increase the core/shader/memory speed to what you know are good settins in xp, then save this to a new bios rom file, and use nvflash to flash it in dos. takes 5 seconds. of course create a batch file to flash the original bios back from the dos disk in case things go **** up and you need to do a blind flash. worked for me just fine.
