Hi all,

Hope you can help with this. I recently decided to install Civilization 2 (original Win95 version) on Vista Home Premium (32). It is important to note that I have previously installed this successfully on this machine in the past, however it recently suffered a motherboard defect and I had to send it back to the well known shop where it was purchased to be fixed under warranty.

Now, i try to install the game, that part is fine, but when launching the game I get the error 'NTVDM.exe has stopped working' and the game closes.

I'm at a loss as to what causes this. I have tried running the game under compatibility modes for Win 95/98 and XP sp2 but to no avail, also tried running the program as adminstator in the properties menu but that changes nothing, tried it with UAC both on and then off again but no change.

Does anyone have any ideas? It's a gem of a game and I'd love to play it again.

Thanks!
